Camera Options - 2007/06/11 08:28 After cruising through the gallery and seeing some really great shots, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent digital camera, preferably water proof or water resistant. I am looking in the price range from 100-400 bucks.

I am sure that there are NUMEROUS options, but I am interested it what you all are using so go ahead and share what ya got.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. It isn't about the years in your life, but the life in your years.

check out the pentax optio. it's waterproof enough for surfing. my friend's got one and the pix come out good enough. he's had it for a couple of years already in some 2x overhead surf, so it's reasonably durable. it's barely slim enough to fit (albeit uncomfortably) in the short's pocket.

i've got a canon sd600? with a waterproof housing, but it's bulkier than the optio when in the housing. plus, i'm constantly worrying that the housing will leak. knock on wood.
