Surf trip description:

First we were scheduling to visit Morocco for the umpteenth time. But while looking for flight and accommodation at the web my wife remembered an offer of a friend to have a private appartement on the north coast of Tenerife. Well, we never been to the Canaries so the decision was easy: One phone call to check the appartement and a couple of mouseclicks to book a flight and rental car on the island of the sempiternal Springtime. Condor airline charges 25 Euros per way for the board on short+medium distances and the check in is very easy. 4.5 hours flight from Frankfurt and we stepped out from this endless Winter into never ending Spring. On Tenerife, particularly at the north coast it almost never gets more than 25°C airtemps at Summer and less than 15°C during Winter. Water ranges from 18-22°C so this is what I call a "Year-Round" destination. Surf is higher from September to April, May to August can get flat but has also significant swell.
A view steps from the airport we picked up our car with luggage rack, fixed the travelcase on it and one hour later we arrived at Icod De Los Vinos in the middle of the north shore, 20kms from Puerto De La Cruz.
