why? - Well..I thought I'd check the comments to read some nice info on which swells work best here, where's good to stay etc but instead all there is is pure racial divides and hatred written by various so called surfers. I just don't understand surf attitude anymore? I just watched a video about senegal and thought it seemed like a different and interesting place to catch some fun waves as well as have a cultural african experience..you guys obviously missed the point to why we surf! I've surfed my whole life and am now rollin on 36 but recently surfing has become uncool and dominated by guys with bad attitudes like you lot...why?? I now get dropped in on every session and even at my local local I've surfed my whole life..I ask the young guys why and they say "that's the way we roll!"...Poor senegalese surfers having to put up with the same shit I do from guys who think they're more important than the locals...you should all be ashamed...the more I surf now the more I think about giving up because the people involved in the sport are the worst type with the most selfish attitude and I paddle out to be surrounded by these assholes...why?? I just hope the people in Senegal can forgive you lot and continue to smile and share their waves with the open hearted traveller...please forgive these idiots who wrote before me. Surfing is about fun, sharing and being stoked for others around you....please please can we share the love a little more!!

- Don't be sorry, local's should get used to the travelling surfers, they don't mind crowding our hospitals or accepting the tourist $$ I've travelled the world surfing and never had agro from anyone, some people are just bitter and will complain about anything!!!

Senegal!!

Non ? Arf, le temps passe

lead good lives?? - sorry for the bad attitude my fellow english have extended to you. we are not all like this blair, bad attitude, colonialist, neo-nazi scumbags. there are few surfers in england who are good surfing and think this makes them gods. they must be forgiven for they are stupid and know not what they are doing. maybe one toxic drop will not spoil the entire sea?

Bail doul !!!

no title - I am from Cornwall, I live on the South Coast of Cornwall where the surfers are pretty chilled out except when we get tossers from Plymouth and Newquay turn up who are generally a rude and arrogant breed of snaking dickheads who do not get what surfing is about. I sympathise with the Senegalese, please don`t think all English surfers are like the ones your familiar with.
De turtle , 20-11-2003
no title - senegal is definitely chilled experience... but like anywhere else show respect and say hi... not like those f$$#*& from england who come with fuckin' 7 guys, a photo guy, don't say hi, and give you fuckin' attitude... you know what I mean... surfers in Dakar are nice people... just don't cross the line and be polite, the, you'll get waves. easy..
De anonymous , 18-09-2003
Whats going on? - you guys really sound like a bunch of children. Surely this is not what surfing is about? I am from South Africa and am considering travelling to senegal to surf. I sympathise with the people of senegal who have agro europe surfers coming over, but from reading this post you guys sound even more agro. Is senegal a chilled surfing experience? or is everyone over there like this?
