Coming to Costa Rica next week - Hola,

I'm coming to Costa Rica from Dec 2 thru 11 and am looking to rent a good fun 6'6 or 7'0 board. I can rent or barter, bringing you something from California that you've been craving.

If you need anything from California and we can work something out, let me know.

I'll be driving all over Costa Rica, so let me know where you are, what you have to offer and what kind of waves you have nearby.

Surfing in Costa Rica - I am local and I recommend coming to Jaco and Hermosa for surfing.
For those who want to buy a use one, you can find good deals around $200. or even buy a custom made around $350

Costa Rica Boat Trips - Avoid The Zori - If you want a surf trip with 48 hours of no-surf, to be the last at the break and the first to leave, to have no functioning toilet or generator, and a crew that don't really care - then go with Zori. She has it all. This outfit is a joke. Trust me, I found out the hard way.

used boards in Jaco / Hermosa - was wondering what the prices are for boards down there made by local shapers? Or even prices on used boards. I'm going down there for a week and dont wanna ship my boards down there because of the extra $ per flight. So either I buy a used board & give it to a local grom on my way back or rent a board... I personally feel better doing option #1.

Jaco or Tamarindo - I have lived in both. Jaco itself has crap for waves but Hermosa and the Esterillos beaches to the south are very consistent year round and uncrowded. So you need a car to get around
Tamarindo is a little further away but the wave quality is here and staying Tamarindo you can walk to the many beaches of Playa Grande, Langosta and Tamarindo bay. Better choice here

trip - Flying into costa rica at the start of august for a month costa/nicaragua trip.
haven't been to either before but i am a capable surfer overhead-double o is my favorite but i have surfed much larger.
looking at spending my first week in either jaco or tamarindo, the wayra spanish school in tamarindo seems like a good place to catch up on my Spanish skills and i was also looking at the beach house hostel.
any suggestions? also at my level of surfing will i like jaco or tamarindo more?
one more thing i am in need of some new board shorts and such will it be cheaper to buy some up here in Canada or is there any black market type places around tamarindo jaco?

Surfcamp in Costa Rica - Hi, would like to ask if somebody could help me- I´m going to Costa Rica for July- first two weeks I´ll be here alone- I wanna just surf there, but not alone. I was thinking about enjoy some surfcamp- but most pages I sow on web is really expensive and usually they offer surfing once a day:(
So do u somebody know about any good one, which is not so expensive - don´t need any luxury- just surf and have a fun with some newone:)will be greatful for any advice
