costa rica score - 10 days and we made out just fine. got boca the first day at 2 feet overhead on the sets with some long waits between.negra for 4 days at 3 to 7, tossed in marbella for two with some real hollow bumps,and junies (2-4)everyday at sunset while we were up there. finished off with tulin at solid 6 backs. totaly bitchen trip no hasseles other then the normal (tires, clutch, ect)

- Look tourists, I'm sorry you guys got robbed while on vacation, but you should've exercised more caution. You talk as if the USA is a safe place to live. I was robbed at gun point in New York and my friend was hit in the head with a bottle thrown from a car in Miami. So stop saying that there are a lot of thieves and robbers in my country. You guys always do this! If you have a problem with our country, then LEAVE the lineup at the breaks just for us locals!! We won't miss you!!!

Be carefull - Many thives and robers in Costa Rica.
Many people who went there got robbed or worst...
I myself got robbed there.
So just be carefull.

- Yeah, Manuel Antonio is beautiful but sometimes the waves are too small to even surf. If it's good though it can be a lot of fun. Good Luck

Manuel Antonio - there are a couple of breaks at Manuel Antonio w/ a easy paddle out and forgiving waves. No need for a wetsuit. there are okay boards for rent near the beach but for better quality rent in Jaco.

Surfing in Manuel Antonio area - I am planning a big surprise for my husbands 30th b-day--a surf trip to CR with 10 of our friends. The problem is, I just beginning to surf & many of his friends are beginners too. Does anyone have any advise on where to go? Nice beach with waves not too big? Can we rent decent boards down there? Do we need Wetsuits? By the way everyone is invited to a big party/bbq at our rental house in Manuel Antonio Monday June 28th. e-mail me.

lone palm - I'm 28 from Salt Lake City, Utah.travling to CR middle of june all alone to surf if anyone has advice on where to stay, or anything that you might think is helpful please let me know, anything will be much appreciated.
