no title - Just like everybody i am going on a surf trip. I am going on the end of november till the end of december. I heard there were no waves at all. I am just a beginner so a little swel is enough. So are ther any waves in this period. Thanx.

beginner going to Cost Rica - Hi everybody!
I am going to visit CR this december and I was wondering whre is good place to cathc up my surf. I am really just a beginner wanting to learn more, so I dont need any rough rides, just som nice beachbreak where I can learn more.
I also wonder where I could buy/rent board for my holiday and how much are they?

FeloBoay - Hi there, if you think on going to the caribbean i guess you will either stay around the Puerto Viejo area or the Cahuita Area. On the cahuita area you can surf on black beach or on the entrance of the national park ,
on the Puerto Viejo Area which is like 8 miles from Cahuita, you can surf either Salsa Brava ( powerfull heavy dangerous right ) or the known SurfPoint on Cocles ( beach break, glassy water, nice nice waves or the Manzanillo Beach Break which is like 4 miles from Cocles. Manzanillo Beach Break has a very fast wave. Also if you have the adventurous spirit you can get a boat and start looking for hidden spots near the Manzanillo National Park you will sure find a couple. The caribbean area is something you wont forget, for me its the closest thing to paradise on earth ! .... Pura Vida y buena suerte

Info - I am from Long Beach, CA, and. I came to Costa Rica from julio to augusto and scored really good waves. I am going to Costa Rica from 27de Deciembre to
12 de Enero and was wondering how good places like Playa Grande, Witches Rock, Playa Negra, Avellanes, and Tamarindo spots are during this time of year.
Also, I learned that the Carribean side really starts pumping as well. Since I have never been to the Carribean side, is it worth it, and if so where should I go

Info ? - Hi people, im a Costa Rican and i have to congratulate the wannasurf.com guys, they've made a great work on the information are in costa rican points ... its pretty good :)
Just came from a 2 days surfing session in Hermosa in Jaco and Jaco ... lots of waves, yes there is rain at this time of the year but that is not going to spoil the surf. For those asking before ... November is a great time to go surfing in Costa Rica, even the Caribbean Coast starts sending some nice waves ;)

costa heaven - i just got back from a month in costa, we were there in the wet season, but there was still only three good swells the whole time, la nina or something was fucking with consistancy. but i found heaps of spots, surfed boca brunca with nat young and joel tudor the day after a contest there. i went south, past dominical, and north of pavones there is so much surf there if you want to explore. stop in dominical, it's a great town and has great consistant surf, never flat. but you can find some places there that will make you weep for utter isolation, perfection and beauty that you can find off the beaten track in costa rica. look hard and surf harder, those who seek get rewarded, trust me!!!! pura vida bra

November 2002 surf trip - Any input is appreciated! We are planning 3 weeks in Costa Rica during NOvember. I read that November is rainy season / should we be avoid this time of year there?
Also, we're wondering about accomodations that boast being economical, clean, near a beginners surf beach, lots of night life, and great shopping. Thanks again
