Good Ol Days - Yep. I remember the rope and the old man. I went there in the 70s, had the best session there. Good memories.

K-38 - I had one of the best sessions of my life here 3-4 years ago. I was half-drunk we had just paid off the cops and it was thunderstorming. The whole thing was shady. Plus we had to pay off the cops again when we got out of the water. still worth it.

the ole days were so fun - remember in the 80s when it was just a dirt lot on a cliff with a roach coach serving tacos?...was a different world i think

Good Ole Days - I first surfed K-38 the summer of 1967, A old man kept a rope across the entrance and charged 50 cents a day. spent several weekends there with my brothers and never saw another person.I guess those days are gone forever.

k-38 local crew - imagine all the people, living life in peace... - lennon.

- If you're haven't surfed 38's before they built the condos, then you are nothing but a kook newbie.

Don't be such a hater, dude - puhleeeze, don't be such a hater. Who's more ignorant? The guy who states the truth, or the guy who refuses to face reality? If people from Mexico hate Gringos with nice cars, boards etc., then maybe Mexicans could devote more disposable income to these things...instead of spending every extra bit of money they have on chrome spinner rims for their 1970 Monte Carlo and a 36-pack of Budweiser. Or, maybe they can just stop stealing from innocent tourists. Not likely...

Wake up !!! - "beaners" "Kicking their asses out". I wonder why they are pissed off ? Its ignorant fucks like you with attitude, which I am sure is with you in the water, that make things worse. You go to their country who obviously has economic and political problems, flash your nice cars/trucks/surf boards and wonder why they are angry. Karma is a bitch and I hope she gives you herpies.

Wake up and smell the cafe con leche, buey - I agree, Baja has become even more dangerous over the years. I've surfed Baja since the late 70's, and this type of crap has been going on since back then...just not as frequently, and weapons were rarely used (unless you were dealing with Judiciales or Federales). Add the Tweakage Factor (meth) and you've got some pissed-off, tweaking Beaners bent on revenge. Let's face it, Mexico is not our friend. They've always hated Americans, and now even more so because we're shutting down our borders and kicking their asses out. They probably now feel as if they've got nothing to lose. Yeah, Baja rules surf-wise. But it's not worth your material possessions or your life. Let's send Mexico a message---they need us a lot more than we need them!!! P.S.---if you're looking for the Mexican experience and can't travel to the Mainland, try Imperial Beach (ha ha)

To a minimum? WHAT?? - Hey bro, its not just at night and with guys with motorbikes. People have been shot in the day at Rosarito. Kidnapping in the day at Puerto Nuevo. Baja is pretty much fucked. They have been dumping raw sewage for years. I'm over it. I'll save my money and go somewhere fun "and Safe". There is "no guarantee" once you cross into TJ. Luck of the dice.
