This area is a prime holiday area in the summer (dec/nov) so if planning a surf trip the best time in terms of waves and general atomosphere would be May. The Hibiscous coast has arguably the best consistent weather year round in South Africa. The surf is also very consistent in that there are always waves breaking (i.e no flat season). There are a wide range of breaks across this coast with the typical south coast point breaks producing probably the better the waves. Righthanders are most common with a rare lefthander every now and then.
