Take the road from Hobart to South Arm. About 5 km past Clifton Beach turn left into Goats bluff carpark which overlooks Goats beach to the left and Wedge to the right. Its about a 500 metre walk down to the beach.
Drive past the clifton turnoff and keep going on that road until you see some turnoffs to your left, take a few of them and have a look about.
Keep going past the signposted Clifton junction and past Calvert's Lagoon (Goats) turn into the lookout/carpark and walk down the right side of the hill as you face the water. If you walk down the left side you will see Rebounds.
Wedge carpark, look to your right, if it is on, there will be tons of cars there.

Informações suplementares
Seems to be hollower and better in a SW swell although it does work in S-SE swells. Up the beach around the elbow is often a bit bigger and less crowded although don't go too far as it starts to get less peaky and more closey.
This spot is fast, the waves pick up and break quickly just gun the takeoff and its easy after that.
The break is formed by Betsey Island, not by sandbanks or reef or anything. The two swells swing in from different directions and make peaks which break everywhere around on the beach. Most of the time its possible to sit in the same spot and wait for one, but other times, you can see them coming and paddle to them, if you miss the first one, you get the second one, etc.

Ambiente
On big days (6ft+) can be a fantastic sight with mini-pipeline like A-frames breaking only 20 metres from the shore.
Can get crowded especially on weekends in the warmer months. Lots of gut-sliders.
The atmosphere at wedge is relaxed.... until the crowds come then its tense with every one hassling for waves, expect to get a little shit if you drop one of the locals, if you do it twice then you better watch out.
An awesome spot when the swell is big, but not quite big enough for the points. If it's SW then you'll want 4m+, but if its S or SE, I've seen it work on only a 2m swell.

Geral
Renowned because of the way swells wrap around an island a kilometre or thereabouts off the beach. This creates short A-frame peaks which consistently barrel, spit and break many a board.
Wedge is a good wave to surf when its on because there are many peaks up and down the beach, though the main 2 may be crowded you can always find one which is a little less regular and have it all to yourself.
