heveist locals ever - You wanna get beaten up in the water this is the place its gonna happen,they have a surf team down there like the hells angels,they just paddle out and tell you to go in,dont argue or your tyres will get slashed and it might come to blows,nice place,nice waves,very heavy localism!!

Not bad - I spend a lot of time surfing Skenes, it's where i have a holliday house. If you have a large enough swell at high tide can be great fun, rise the wave through and then it reforms and you can take off again, can get some good fun out of it. Can only handle big swells at a really high tide otherwise it just starts closing out. Has a pretty steep face so once it gets above 3 foot you will hardly ever see a longboarder out the :) Watch the rip on the left hand side of the beach, can take you out and push you sideways into the rocks if you are not careful. I wouldnt' recoment it for in-eperience surfers if it gets above 4 foot as it gets pretty powerful, it can be a pretty dangerous beach
