Ambiente
One word describes this spot heavy. the wave itself is not that heavy at all but the locals all shred and unless you too rip getting a wave by yourself will be an ordeal. my advice, if it gets crowded and it will stick to the inside peack directly infront of the main peak these waves come out of nowhere and jack up for almost a hundred yards, nothing like the real dona ana but a good crowd alternative.

this spot is a wonderfull alternitive if boca is either not breaking or crowded. Just watch out for the barnacle encrusted rocks that line the entry/exit point, and the impact zone.

1987 - Surfed it on a huge south swell with Pico. This is how it went. Paddled out along the mountain, it sucks up next to a dry ledge, barrels then tapered off, right in front of a rock that comes into play half way thru the wave. The tide changed and cant remember in which diection but all the locals left and so did I. I then said what the hell i"ll go back to the other side of the river and catch 1000 yd lefts with 15 foot faces not bad. Aug 1987 anybody remember Hotel Chanitas on the beach side of the road or Chicho which owned the bar next to the public telephone
