English (Traduzir este texto em Português): Good point break in eyeshot!! Average beach break really, A boulder bank at high tide makes for interesting closeouts, Watch out for rocks. Nice and quiet, All the dudes go to millook. Most certainly out of the way and the adjoining beack, Marsland mouth on the devon-cornwall border is essential viewing for its reefbreaks.

huh? - if this is how you found welcombe, don't go.if your friend told you, or you met a local who invited you, or you did the legwork yourself, that's one thing.

It's the way it goes... - It seems everywhere in the world on this site there is the same debate....Keep it quiet, or tell the world nobody owns the waves...It's just so boring...It's a shame the days of traveling to find a wave you never knew existed has gone but that's life.....My local breaks are in North Wales, for 15 or so years with the exception of the "major one" up there, you could surf alone if you knew where to go..The thrill of driving and finding a potential spot is an amazing feeling..But it's over..This site has helped me check out loads of good spots around the world I might never have surfed so I am grateful for it..As a surfer of 30 years standing, I last surfed Cornwall about 20 years ago, and gave it a miss since then because I had a snobbery of too many people catching on to this great culture..I have learned though if you want to surf you have to get over that..There are times and places you don't see these knobs, like winter or Autumn... I have had breaks to myself I have had them crowded, it's the way it goes these days..Surf culture is en vogue, don't get me wrong I hate the London BMW X5 mob clad head to toe in the latest surf gear bought from their local Surf Shop retailer in Covent Garden.. as much as everyone else, but the glory days of secret spots are fast fading..You either live with it or you give it up and find something else to do. Blame the companies like ONeill or Animal who open shops in prime city centre locations, or advertise in mags like Esquire or Arena..You know what will follow next..loads of bored fat businessmen looking for a thrill..Yeah rad dude... I am returning to Cornwall, not far from Bude in the Summer for 3 weeks..The wife wants to come down..I would still rather give it a miss, I will be bringing the kids and their bodyboards..No doubt some locals will look at me in the water with my kids flailing around and think I got no right to be here..Well tough...I was doing this when most of them were shitting their nappies...Everywhere is accesible these days..Cheap flights around the world mean any break in the world has the potential to be crowded..The Endlesss Summer died in the two decades ago!! I feel a lot better after that rant... :-)Gruff.

its ruined - its soo busy down there now. went there other day only a foot and 10 people in the water. also the car parks always full of campers, gypsies and yuppies losing their exhausts on the rough track down
