- If we live in the South East we all know we get very, very, very little in the way of waves at any time of year. We're not spoilt like the South West so we have to get waves when they turn up. Unfortunately for any South East 'local' it is inevitable that when waves turn up, so will the crowds. I'm sure you never complain when you turn up at someone elses 'local' spot when they get some surf. At the end of the day, if you are local to a spot, you have the opportunity to get in before the crowds arrive, enjoy it. Plus, lets face it - due to our profound lack of surf and opportunity to practice, very few of us in this corner are the dogs knackers anyway. If we were, we would have moved to Cornwall a long time ago.

Worst surf spot in Britain? - Looks like I've waded in a little late on this argument but I am a reporter on the Eastbourne Herald newspaper and I reckon this could make quite a good feature.
