Ambiente
English (Traduzir este texto em Português): if you can get there, you're stoked. if it's on, you are in heaven.
Geral
English (Traduzir este texto em Português): a winter oasis from the craziness of the country up north. catches the same swells but has an eastside attitude. slower, somewhat lazier. the waves can be epic often though. some of the longest barrels i've seen rivaling any wave up in the country.

Old Daze - I used to surf here by myself... with no one around in the 80's. There was never anyone surfing here now I see that it is getting national attention. Good for all surfers... bad for Marines. I never did get the local attitude/territorial crap when surfing cuz I only surfed here and didnt want the hassle. Locals surfing here.. cool, just remember that Marines got no where else to go that has no possibility of territorial pissings. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone tried to hwlp everyone else to have a great surf day!

reminiscing - Just trying to find shots of my old backyard. I used to live on the bluff overlooking North Beach. The place is magic. As for sneaking locals on base, I turned it into an art form. For the military and dependents that think they own the place- you had better step back and take a look at where you are at. The whole damn peninsula used to be reserved for Hawaiian royalty. Respect is a two way street.

Car Load. - I agree. I see car loads of Kooks pull up and think they own the place. What a bunch of Barney's. I know "were all here to have fun". But, ruining someones session. Come on! This is a lifestyle for me. Not just some weekend kookathon, carload dumbasses that can't surf for crap. Uggg.
