You need a huge number of permits to get into this little town, which is filled with dirty miners! I've surfed it about a dozen times, and it has some good potential. Went in today and it was great with an offshore. But Easterly winds are quite rare.

It's often quite a nice beach break, which changes a lot because of the river mouth. Water is pretty cold, but you definately won't find any crowds!

Oranjemund mouth - cool spot went to visit friends in Oranjemund and surf just off the mouth, can have a good reak on its day with good surf. Can be real cold out there and the rips can be real strong need to watch out for them big time. If you can get a permit its a cool place to go
