Day Dream Believers - Handy location if you're going with the family and you're able to sneak out for a surf. As far as Bali goes in terms of surfing only - this place is rank and is loaded with kooks. So many other good locations on the island with better waves and cleaner water, but fun for a bit of a warm up surf.

why why why - why would you go to bali to surf legian beach. i know who you are paradise girl aka cassie surman from sunshine coast
De banno , 12-06-2007
yo paradise girl - im feeling ya hon, legian is a kick ass beach break on its day and the crowds in Oz are beyond a joke. Im spewing i just missed massive Padang-Padang the other day(18/ may at 8:00 hours to be exact) but maybe i will have the bucks next year.

One for all levels - Just spend a week (27 May to 3 June) surfing Legian. Was sensational for an intermidiate surfer like me. Good clean waves, not crowded at all by Australian standards. Worked best for two hours after hightide. Definately offers good days for begginers but watch the rips as you'll end up out the back before you know it. All in all great trip.

I'll tell you why.,...... - Well I will be surfing here in 3 weeks and I will tell you why. Because I am married and now have a little girl. Pretty hard to do the Ulus thingy with a little tacker(6mths) in tow. Been to Indo a zillion times but this will be my first Legian surf. So if you see me out there , feel sorry for me. What has this life come too? Oh well in 6or 7 yrs I will be draggin her to all the corners of the globe. Just hope she digs surfing.......

Fun but not great...... - hey beento bali twice now, legian has stayed the same...bout 6 foot close outs. you'll get a good clean wave about every 3rd set. on the other hand its great spot to learn to surf and muck around
De anonymous , 24-02-2005
agreeing to both the people below me - out of all the epic spots in bali, why would anyone even think about surfing in legian.just go to cangg or ulus. you'll enjoy it way more
