- I surfed Meddawatta this January 2012. Really great place to surf, also with my longboard big time. Somedays difficult big waves, but overall great conditions! I stayed at Latitude Six. Amazing place, really friendly and great people! Not as touristy as other places, but the most wonderful place to stay.

happy das - great surfing spot, friendly locals, sea not crowded - some days was alone in the water.

stayed at latitude six, silva and the guys made me feel really welcome and relaxed. Fantastic food, atmosphere, rooms - amazing guest house, will be back again this season.

beautiful - I visited Meddawatta 2007, and still dreaming about coming back. Latitude six is nicely situated with a perfect view over the quiet beach with good surf and friendly chandana and rachelle. meddawatta beach deserves its name as a 'secret spot', you'll meet much less tourists than in noisy hikkaduwa, with excellent possibilites of chilling at the beach. total relaxation! a pearl!

Latitude 6 rocks! - Had one of the best holidays of my life staying in this guesthouse- lovely spot, great food and wonderful hospitality from Rach and Chandana, Mojo and Sparky. Highly recommended!

lattitude Six - I've been to meddawatta twice, I returned the second time to this wonderful guest house, the welcome and hospitality supplied by Rachelle, Chandana & Kasun could not be bettered anywhere! The accommodation is excellent and the the food to die for!! The beach is amazing & the locals very friendly and helpful.
A great place to stay if you are in this area.

latitude six - Already stayed twice at this guesthouse which is right in front of this amazing surfspot, uncrowded and mellow atmosphere. Chillin and surfing how it's supposed to be!

latitude six - stayed at latitude 6 with my family in July 09.was an amazing location, we had the beach all to ourselves, apart from a few very friendly locals! Accommodation was excellent, lovely rooms and bathrooms. And a very warm welcome, food was fantastic!! couldn't have asked for anything better.

meddawatta, matara - I stayed recently in meddawatta, it is a great spot for surf with left and right beach break. The beach wasn=t crowded, and the locals who surfed there were friendly. Some good budget places to stat including latitude six, moon bridge, neutral wind and surf lanka.
