English (Traduzir este texto em Português): Paeora Road has multiple breaks on it... first is Rocky Point, a small headland with a right point on the southern side (rocky rights) and a left point on the northern side (rocky lefts). Across the bay from rocky rights is a left reef called "Birds Nest". Across the bay from rocky lefts is graveyards.

When surfing rocky lefts look out for 'El Fredo', the suck-rock on the take-off.

flag it - had some bad times at this spot due to arsehole locals who showed no mercy, and no compassion for strangers-don't bother with taras.........

- Tara surfers are probably the most competent around. They are also very aware of who is in the line up, who is making the sections, tubes ect. So there is a very definite pecking order out there. Paddle out and slot yourself in where you think you should be and you will get waves. Also because of the huge tide, the locals will often be waiting for the right tide. Go out anyway, it wont be as good but you might get the place to yourself.

you only get faded if your a kook - surfed here a few times this and graveyards being my favourite spots on the naki, work the tide as suggested its still a darn good wave when most locals wont surf it and if you are out in a crowd show respect and dont think your the man and you will be given waves often good ones too
