Gang - There is a gang always surfing there, dont even try to yell at the guys dropping on you, you might end up in the hospital,or worse.

Loser - There is a big fat local bodyboarder named "bulldog" here. If you are smaller than he is, he will want to fight you. He is a jerk and a "puerco".

stupid kids - Rode zippers several times before it got hammered. Got it on a doh hurricane swell and it was scary good (but getting out the water at the pounding beach break was scariest). Also surfed it at chest high and kids blatantly kept dropping in on me...totally unnecessary and ruins the sesh for everybody (I'll stay on your tail the whole way, so you can't cut back). It's a lot like malibu in that respect. Only way to surf it may be when it's big, just to thin out the pack and get rid of those shitty groms.

Get lost - We don't really care about your Condo.

No Worries - Zippers is a super fun wave. I've surfed it in all kinds of conditions from waist high to double overhead. I own a condo there, and if you're not going "on the cheap" you should check it out. If you want to catch Zippers firing and get some waves to yourself, your best bet is to rent right on sight. I once got burned at Zips and lost the skin off most of my knee. Luckily the local kook who burned me got burned (on the same wave) buy another local kook sponger and lost the skin off most of his head. He was balling very loudly. That was before I bought the condo & figured out the session timing thing. Check out my site for some good zips pics as well as east & west cape. www.cabooceanfrontcondo.com Mahalo!

wake up early - if you wake up early you wont have to deal with the locals if you try to surf in the afternoon you might get an ass kick...

surfing cabo soon - I am surfing Cabo soon and simply just want to enjoy myself while there. Would be nice to surf and smoke a bit and not deal with any trouble. I am a mixed martial arts fighter specializing in Jiu Jitsu so its not like I am super worried about the fighting part however, i just want to relax...anyone need a friend to surf with or know of any cool people to chill with please do let me know byronmusic@tampabay.rr.com

okay - i surfed there last week and had no problem with the locals or anything, one local was a nice guy and i spoke a little spanish with him, it was breaking really shallow and rocks were stickin up and almost scratched up my board, but i think this wave is a little too overrated go to the estuary about thirty minutes away its a hollow ass beachbreak

It's a cultural thing - If you spend any time driving here, you will begin to understand the (lack of) surfing etiquitte. Monkey see, monkey do. I asked a local opthomologist if Mexicans lacked sufficient peripheral vision, maybe some kind of genetic malfunction. He laughed and assured me that they can see as well as anyone else but whether they chose to or not was another question all together. So does knowing that the surfing techniques are a cultural snafu make it any easier? Not really, a drop in is still a drop in.

Locals suck there. - I only surfed there for about an hour. Got snaked by some Mexican on long board, one on a short board and one on a boogie board. Never seen such lame blatent snaking in my life. There were only like 10 guys out. I can surf Santa Cruz with 50 guys out and get snaked less.
