This wave is evil! - Probably the scariest ride of my life... like above, super hollow, warp speed fast... I ate it here once skipped and went over the falls... but if you manage not to eat sh*t its a rewarding experience. Not Teahupoo, but close.
De Alex , 07-06-2006
Also... - Watch out when the tide gets high...Just as you find your place in the pocket a previous wave will bounce off the cliffs and be heading right back at you...It scares the crap out of you if you don't see it coming. Also...Last time I was there it was epic, but the only ones that seemed to get really worked up about things were from mainland U.S...go figure...respect the locals and they will respect you, but there really isn't too much you can do about skiied up whities in the line up.

hi - very fun, very fast, very hollow, very scary, very very cool
De anonymous , 27-04-2004
no title - Needs to be very big to be good. At 6ft it breaks to close to shore and to far to the right but can be ridden. At 8ft it starts to get good and at 10-12ft++ its true Gas Chambers with a spectacular show for those on the beach or on the channel and a sick ride for those actually riding it. When u get there and u cant see the horizon on the sets then u know its on. If it is, only tres palmas might be the other place ridable in the area. Count on crowds since Gas is very accesible and has ample parking and probably the only spot on the north and west coasts which have a really large channel and a very safe and rather easy paddle out and paddle in with an ample sandy beach with mild shorebreak to escape the fury. All other spots like table rock and specially the wishing well to wilderness area, surfers beach etc have nasty currents and coastline that if you dont time it precicely will chop u up trying to get out of the water.

new meaning - Surfed it in 1990 before while i attended college in PR. This place gives a new meaning to the word hollow.

gas is for exp. only - one of the worlds most exciting waves, adrenaline rush extreme.Gets extremely crowded no matter what.Spongeitis is evident there too.Very, very incosistent
