Las Palmas - I've been living in Las Palmas for the last 5 months, and been surfing here since, this break has been really pretty consistently good throughout Jan and Feb 2007 this morning there was a good 6 foot to play with. I have been most days to his spot as it's 10 minutes from the apartment I have, on the whole the locals have been pretty good, with the exception of one guy who threatened me in Spanish (my Spanish is pretty poor, so I didn't get upset by it, as fuck knows what he said...) there are loads of people out at the weekends when the sun is shining so the main hazards are the crowds, and I have left stuff on the beach while I've been in the water without it going walkabout. On the whole, I would thoroughly recommend this place, as in the evening you can hit the bars in the Las Palmas, which on the whole not full of Brits on the piss, which is nice.

Hi - Does somebody knows how Gran Canaria and the other islands around are from March to August because I wanna go for a surf trip ASAP, but would like good waves.
I am still kind of beginner, can stand up and turn abit on my 7,2" but that's all.
I hope somebody can help me, and give me some advise about which place would be best for me?
Cheers
Charlotte
