still waiting for those winds - i live in palavas now ,been here since christmas, and im still waitng for a bit of good swell,i surfed it a few times a couple of yaers ago and it was small crowded but still got heaps of waves and i never had any problems with the locals ever,they where all cool as,if you want to meet locals who are realy bad go to north narrabeen in australia,lived there all my life and probably surfed there 5 times because its crowded and 14 year old wanna be's drop in thinking there slater.hopefully the swell will come in autumn.

Arf - Not a good spot unless you live in the area and have nothing else to surf. Some good winter sessions sometimes. Locals are pretty cool and look very happy as soon as they see a small shitty wave, because the sea is usually flat here. Good kitesurfing spot though.

Few places to check... - Of course you should not dedicate a travel to Palavas only to surf... There are however amazing winter sessions and few places to check : "Lezard beach" closed to Carnon (quite a nice left, follow the jetty)... Palavas "rive droite" (park place closed to the harbour : right and left)... Maguelone as well...But please stop writing locals are unfriendly : I had a few sessions there without any trouble linked to localism!! Level in the water is reasonable (can be weak...)Just have to respect the others, which seems to be applicable every where (for those who are able to understand!)The only interest to write on this site that the spots are crowdy and people unfriendly is for stupid locals themselves... Who still assume that readers will believe them!!Keep smiling when surfing...
