Surf store in Porto - Guys,

In two weeks, im going to porto to surf there.
I ve never been there before, so it would be my first time surfing in porto.
I actually come from Indonesia and now studying in Holland, so i did not bring all of my surfing gears to Holland. Since there is no wave in Holland.
I wonder if there is a surf store which rent a surfing board. Otherwise i can only watch people surfing over there.

Thanks guyss..i hope you give me a nice info.
Cheers,

Pollution problem much better.. - Although i´m not a matosinhos fan (its good for longboard, shortboard days only when big...)in order to preserve Porto´s good image i send this message. I give surfing lessons everyday in matosinhos and the quality of the water has improved considerably in the last years. The tests preformed revealed "good" water quality, better than last year which was "aceptable". In relation to the direct discharges these have also stopped (couple of years ago you would see red patches of blood in the water coming from the slaughterhouse....) this does not happen any more and its quite frequent to see clear waters and in some spots cristal clear.... everyday hundreds of kids surf and bathe in these waters and the health risks are not as big as mentioned in this site. I´d also like to say that a new program is being implemented "Porto blue flag" which aims to eradicate all direct discharges to the sea improving the water and beach quality consequently recieving the blue flag for quality beach.

Crowded and polluted - The advantage is that is near the city, you can go surf just before go to work, the desadvantages are the pollution and the crowd at weekends or good surf days.

f...you all - Matosinhos is a great beach to surf, maybe some days is not so good, with no power. But when the swell is good you can cath realy great waves, realy nice lefts and rights. so shut up.

Informations - Hi everybody!
As I am going to spent one whole year in Oporto, I´d like to start surfing. Right now, I spent only one week surfing (in Praia do Rosa, Brazil). How about surfing in the northern part of Portugal? What are the best spots for beginners? How to get there without a car? Which spots might be risky etc.?
Looking forward to your comments!

- The time i´ve spent in Portugal almost a year and Matosinhos must be the worst beach i´ve ever surfed... i couldn´t believe the crowds...so many...and so many that don´t know how to surf. If you want to me knockned out by a surf board that´s the place to be. The wave is so weak and without power that´s is not ideal for learning. To learn you have to catch god waves and waves with power. Go to Lessa, espinho...is nearby by, or go to peniche ericeira.. And the water is so polluted that tastes very bad.

Don´t go to matosinhos - Don´t waste your time going to matosinhos... This is a wave with no power, with godd conditions only 10,15 days/year. The waves are always clouseouts... This wave is for people that is learning to surf..
The better time to go to Matosinhos is when the swell is to big in other beachs, otherwise don´t go to Matosinhos. Respect the locals. Aloha

Liers!!! - yeah yeah whatever... you talk about matosinhos like that.. but you were there.. and i bet that you loved the beach.. and the few days you spend there.. u were always in the water.. so stop talking about this beach like that...And so go back to your country.... i bet that there you have better waves... hahahaha
