Alentejano - This wave exists the reef is there i have seen it break, never surf it, most of the photos are wrong but it simply RARELY BREAKS...because it needs small swell and big tide...it´s not an hoax relax!
De Alentejo rules , 25-11-2006
- The right location of that wave is on another place... still a secret for most of the portuguese ppl. SO PLEASE keep it like that. Respect as you did for L-Point.Good surfing ppl

Pictures are from different spots - Sorry guys (again), the pictures shown here are from different surf spots almost certainly. Have a good look at all the pictures. Particularlly the ones showing the left and a bit of background sky and landscape. You will see that in some pictures there are some large rock formations out of the water to the left of the point (if you are looking out from the beach), while in others there is nothing or some very distant rocks/islands. In one of the pictures it is said that the Island seen in the background is "Ilha do Pessegeiro" or "Peach Island". I dobt it very much because I was out there yesterday and it is not possble to see that Island from there! Sorry.Cheers, Luciano
Not sure the pictures are from this spot! - Sorry guys, the pictures posted here are most likelly of another spot. I will tell you why. I was surfing in front to the restaurant Arte e Sal yesterday. I.e. in the exact location described for this spot. It was mid tide on the rise. I went outside to have a look at the slab. It is an impressive rock. However, the shape of this slab does not seem to accomodate the comments made here. I will explain: the front (the part facing the ocean) has a V shape. Everyone with a little of knowledge of how waves break will know that the ideal shape (of the ocean floor/reef/sand bar) for a good wave should be a ^ (i.e. like a cheveron). Also, this is a slab with very deep water all around, probably more than 10 meters. Thus, it would make it almost impossible to get a long wave forming (like the one shown on the latest picture) since the slab it self is only about 20 x 10 meters (200 meters squared). Ok, I dont want to bore you guys anymore. Just one thing: just because THIS wave is not real it does not mean waves like this dont hexist on our coast. :)All the best,Luciano

- Surfers cry because bodyboarders fly!!!Bodyboarders fly! Surfers just try!
De anonymous , 09-10-2005
where is it???? - Bodyboarder from spain who plans to ride alentejo this winter - somebody could tell me where is it???
De Bruno , 22-09-2005
bodyboard vs surf - As always, the best waves are for bodyboarders only... Pussy surfers stay with slow fat waves and see us bb'ers fly over you."i'd surf too if couldn't bodyboard"
De anonymous , 26-05-2005
T7 - This wave reminfs me of Cyclops, shallow, big, deadly!!Who needs to go t Australia, Portugal is cheaper =P
De Alentejo freak , 21-05-2005
5 stars no doubt - They way you talk, means you dont really know what your talking about, this wave is 5 star slab, i doubt that in europe yoou can get such and intense ride. It´s a different kind of wave from J-bay not E-bay :/ ... but is a world class wave when it´s pumping when we talk about SLABS...J-bay is a long tubular wave, Sang is a short intense ride, dangerous heavy and special in it´s way ( Bodyboarders only ).
De Andreas , 22-04-2005
idiots - whats up with ranking every thick, below sea level slab, a five star wave? This wave is better than e-bay? these waves are barely ridable. bunch of idiots who rank these waves
