Find a parking spot at the southern end of Hermosa near the King Harbor Marina, if you can. Once on the beach , look South. It will be obvious if it is working. Or ask for a window seat at the Chart House and sip cocktails while surfers slip into barrels. English (Traduzir este texto em Português): South Bay's big winter wave spot. Waves bounce off breawater to form a hollow wedging peak that goes into a horrendous close out. The easiest way out the back is to jump off the rocks. Lots of juice. A good place to ride a big gun.

English (Traduzir este texto em Português): The only place to take off is behind the peak on the side wave and backdooring it. Its like getting shot out of a cannon only you stay in the barrel until the the bonecrushing closeout. It gets rediculously crowded and shoulder hoppers usually get pitched over the top of the tuberiders.

- Are you an old, fat 45 year dude, who can't get up on his shortboard anymore? When you see double overhead waves do you get scared and go grab your gun? Do have nothing better to do with you life than try and intimidate the random solo 20 something year old that decided to come surf at the same time that you did? Then come on down. This place is for you! ... but seriously this is a good break, one of the best when everywhere else in LA is too big and closed out. The local guys here don't deserve respect. They certainly don't give any to others.... Blows my mind how the thousands of surfers in LA tolerate pathetic localism.
