Master P - The Navy just put a jetty through the surf spot at Point Mugu and ruined it. I was just there yesterday. Bummer that they have the power to ruin a surf spot without warning.

Military Police - Whatch out for MP's. Some one has been calling them lately. LAME!!!! I have been booted out of the water twice in one week with only 3 guys out! What's gong on, never was hassled before. I am just trying to get barreled??!!!

why - on google earth point mugu has a wave emblem and pictures of the beach yet it is located on the mountain above salt and sea?

- you surf on the other side of the labs from the hotel..I was stationed there for 6 years and surfed that place so much,,,when I first started surfing there in 01 there would be hardly anyone out on a nice swell, but it got pretty publicized and now every pro and photog finds their way onto base during a good swell and crowds it out...really a bummer

Longboards or not? - getting stationed at mugu and wondering if anyone surfs longboards at that break or at HPLBs. Sounds like it might be a fun challenge>>>> let me know..thnx

- I plan on staying at the beach motel soon. Last time I went to make reservations, there were no waves directly out in front of the motel(beach area). Is that in fact where military members surf? Or is it on the other side of the hush houses? Thank you in advance

Ok that wasn't the REAL Kelly Slater just then. - If it actually was Mr.K.S. then he's alot more myopically-disadvantaged than I EVER was; in ANY of my cartunes of the '60's. And no is my answer in advance, to ANYONE thinking I'm the REAL Maj.Mugu in charge of base ops. here--should you be tempted to ask me for a gate pass to surf@Pelican's--that goes for temp.,seasonal, or private contractor's.

- MUGU IS THE BEST THIS PLACE IS BEST FOR A LONGBOARD ONE TIME I RODE FROM KIDDIE BEACH ALL THE WAY TO THE BENCH ON MY LONGBOARD I STARTED OFF WITH A SMOOTH DROP THEN I GOT THE BIGGEST BARREL OF MY LIFE TOES ON THE KNOWS AND THEN I HOPPED ON AN ANACAPA SET AT MANE BEECH STILL ON THE SAME WAVE AND DID AN OLLY OVER DANE REYNOLDS AND CALLED HIM A KOOK BUT I WAS JK BECUZ HES ACTUALLY REELY GOOD AND JUST THEN POSEIDON ROSE OUT OF THE OCEAN WITH A TRIDENT AND GAVE ME THE EXTRA SPEED TO GET TO THE BENCH IT WAS A GOOD WAVE BUT IF YOU WANT REALLY GOOD WAVES GO TO WESTWARDS THAT PLACE GOES OFF

the goods - while at trestles someone told me about mugu, i'd never heard of it, only been in the navy a short time and stationed in nor cal, so we went to mugu, right when we get out of the car, a truck pulls up behind us and out comes dane reynolds and clay marzo, we were pretty amazed to watch them put on their airshows, later in the evening we surfed with nathan fletcher, this was my first surf trip down the coast of cali, and my friends' first time to cali, what a great way to finish off an epic surf trip, the waves were epic all week at trestles, but i think mugu was even better, few in the lineup, and getting to watch and surf with pros.....very cool
