English (Traduzir este texto em Português): too crowded and too mushy. lots of longboarders and kooks mixed in with good surfers. great place to find a mushy wave in almost any tide. best surf is in the winter during cold fronts. due to beach nourishment in the past few years wave quality has been drastically declining. very mushy waves unless everything comes together perfectly

5+ - sometimes even better, but remember nickname for GTown is GTown Brown. But it does get decent surf more often than you'd think.
Of course is your only into point or Reef breaks where the wave always breaks the same, then you might want to just stay there. TX surf will make you work for the payoff.

- I agree with the first comment, i still surf them though..lol F**k Galveston surf, i lived there for 2 years and caught some decent surf, it was never better then a 1 rating except one time.
