English (Traduzir este texto em Português): Even though this is a private beach and surfing is forbiden, you can surf here during winter months. It needs a big swell to break and normally is good when all the rest of the beaches close out.

good photos - I used to be a regular there in bujama. it is true that there are old people that don't let you surf. I mean old people that won't let you use a real surfboard, but bodyboards are permitted. I was a child when I started to go to Bujama and that's where I learned to body board, I experienced great days, it's a good place to learn. the point of break is for experienced surfers because if you fail you will end up on the rock "el meson". there is a good picture illustrating what I mean. The guy or girl is about to drop in what looks to be a body board, and right in front of the person is the big rock, but what a great wall to surf he has. after that the wave slows, dies, looses power.. but it gains power again at the end close to the shore line. before the construction of a pier that was built to break the wave this used to be better, they did the pier because the "caleteños" were running out of sand in their beach due to the high surf tides "crecidas". I am from the adjacent beach, El Delfin, a regular from the 1970's all the way steady until 1984 that's when I moved to the States. My name is Roberto Palma
